Arab countries protest at the United Nations over the incidents of burning the Holy Quran

Geneva: At the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Arab countries described the global silence on the burning of the Holy Quran as disappointing.

According to the international news agency, the Arab countries protested at the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council and said that international organizations refrained from condemning the incidents of burning the Holy Quran.

Representing the Arab countries, Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Hind Abdul Rahman Al Muftah, said that the attitude of the international organization on the impure incidents of burning the holy book of Muslims, the Qur’an, is very disappointing and deeply concerned.

The Arab countries called on the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to address such incidents as well as urge the countries where such incidents took place to fulfill their responsibilities.

Arab countries urged the United Nations Human Rights Council to ensure the observance of fundamental rights to religious respect in all countries, including Sweden, where religion is targeted in the name of freedom of expression.

It should be remembered that the leader of the right-wing extremist organization in Sweden, Rasmus Ploden, desecrated the Qur’an more than once and burned the Qur’an in public.
