Flour prices increased again in Balochistan including Quetta. According to market sources, a 20 kg bag of flour has become 2700 rupees in Quetta.
Director General Food Balochistan Zafarullah says that the food department has stopped the supply of wheat to the flour mills. Harvesting of new wheat crop has started in Balochistan.
He added that the new crop of wheat will be available in the market within a week. Flour prices will come down after the new crop hits the market.
Director General Food said that the Food Department will buy 1 million sacks of wheat for this year. For this purpose, the support price of wheat is being fixed at four thousand rupees.
