The three officials who tortured the participants of the Aurat March outside the Islamabad Press Club were suspended.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a women’s march was organized outside the Islamabad Press Club in which women, civil society representatives and others participated.
On this occasion, police officials also tortured the participants of Awart March, the videos of which went viral on social media.

As soon as the incident was reported, Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman reached the Press Club to express solidarity and assured all kinds of support to the participants of the Awart March.
The police personnel involved in baton-charging the participants of the Women’s March have been suspended. Moreover, other persons responsible for misbehavior are also being identified, and proper action will be taken against them too.

Later, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah took notice of the incident and said that three officials involved in the incident have been suspended while more involved persons are being determined against whom strict action will be taken.

It should be noted that the participants of Awart March also beat the journalists after the violence by the police, as a result of which a female reporter and a cameraman were injured, who was transferred to the hospital for medical assistance.
