A three-member committee has been set up on the issue of banning Holi in Karachi University

Karachi: The University of Karachi administration has set up a committee to investigate the alleged incident of preventing Hindu students from playing Holi in the university campus.

The notification for the establishment of the committee has been issued, according to which Chief Justice (Retd) Hasan Feroze will be the convener of this committee, while Member Syndicate and Member Provincial Assembly Sadia Javed and Assistant Professor of Computer Science Mukesh Kumar will be included in the committee. will

The committee will submit its report to the Vice-Chancellor, based on which action will be taken against anyone found involved in the incident.

On the other hand, University of Karachi Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Iraqi says that University of Karachi believes in interfaith harmony, it is the only university in the country that has mosque, temple and church. Our employees have already celebrated Holi in the campus a day earlier while a group of students have sought permission to play Holi on Thursday for which we are making arrangements.

On the other hand, Campus Security Advisor Dr. Mueez Khan says that no incident of violence against a student has been reported in the security office, nor has any such incident been reported in the university clinic.

It should be remembered that the issue of forcibly stopping the celebration of Holi came up a day ago.
