Delhi Private School Dubai to face Gems Modern Academy in the boys’ Final, while Gems Modern Academy Girls will meet JSS Private School Girls in the final of the inaugural girls’ championship at the DP World ILT20 Junior Cricket Festival on Saturday

Dubai,(PNP) : Delhi Private School Dubai and Gems Modern Academy Dubai delivered commanding performances in the boys’ semi-finals at ICC Academy on 20 November, securing their spots in the DP World ILT20 Schools Cup 2025 final. Meanwhile, in a historic first for the tournament, Gems Modern Academy Girls will take on JSS Private School Girls as finalists having secured their places earlier in the week.

This year, a total of 39 teams competed in the tournament, including nine girls’ teams making their debut in the DP World ILT20 Schools Cup, reflecting the growing inclusivity and reach of cricket among youth across the UAE.

Delhi Private School Dubai beat Delhi Private School Sharjah by 5 wickets

In a semi-final clash on Thursday, Delhi Private School Sharjah posted a modest 98/9 in a contest dominated by Delhi Private School Dubai’s bowlers as Aarav Dadheech, Janmey Chauhan, and Aarav Vora picked up two scalps apiece. Delhi Private School Dubai responded with a composed chase, finishing proceedings in 18 overs. Arham Jain top scored for DPS Dubai with 21 runs in 26 balls.

GEMS Modern Academy Dubai beat Our Own High School Dubai by 4 wickets

In the other semi-final, Gems Modern Academy Dubai dismantled Our Own High School Dubai for 102 runs, with standout bowling performances by Jaidev Gattani and Aryan Thapar who finished with three and two wickets respectively. Gems Modern Academy then secured their final spot after a nervy chase, with skipper Parin Sethi guiding the team with an unbeaten 37. Shreyansh Dutta also scored a vital knock of 35 runs.

GEMS Modern Academy Girls beat Sharjah Indian School Girls by 70 runs

For the girls, Gems Modern Academy posted an imposing 236/1 against Sharjah Indian School Girls, with Ishita Sainik Kumar’s 89* and skipper Gayetri Menon’s 59* leading the charge. Despite a fighting 76* from Merlin Abraham, Sharjah Indian School were overhauled by 70 runs.

JSS Private School Girls beat JSS International School Girls by 7 wickets

In a closely fought second girls’ semi-final contest, JSS International School Girls scored 151/3, powered by captain Saanvi Sharma’s 60. JSS Private School Girls clinched a thrilling victory in the final over, finishing at 152/3 and setting up a captivating final against Gems Modern Academy. Anaaya Sachar top scored for JSS Private School Girls with 43 runs.

The finals for both boys and girls are set for 7:30 pm on Saturday, 22 November 2025 at the ICC Academy, marking the opening day of the DP World ILT20 Junior Cricket Festival. The two-day festival, continuing through Sunday, 23 November, will celebrate youth cricket with exciting championship finals, cricket action, food stalls, games, and activities for attendees of all ages, bringing together the spirit of cricket and community.
