The Sindh High Court stopped the by-elections on 9 constituencies of the National Assembly in Karachi.
The court ruled on the petition against accepting the resignations of 9 members of the National Assembly of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The by-elections on 9 constituencies of the National Assembly were to be held on March 16.
A total of 187 candidates submitted papers for the by-election in Karachi.
On the other hand, a hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the petition against the acceptance of the resignations of PTI members of the National Assembly.
The court gave a week’s time to the Election Commission and the Speaker to respond.
