The popular actress of Pakistan showbiz industry, Sajal Ali will now be seen in the classic role of the popular ‘Amrao Jaan Ada’.
According to foreign media reports, producers Hamid Hussain and Muhammad Yaqub will produce this classical series under an agency based in Abu Dhabi.
‘Amrao Jaan Ada’ is a classic novel of Urdu literature which was originally written for the first time by Mirza Hadi Raswa in 1899. In this novel, he has reflected the culture and society of the Indian subcontinent of the 19th century, especially the royal and Mughal life of that time.
However, with the passage of time, many Pakistani and Indian films have been made on this classical novel by making some modifications. But according to Hamid Hussain, his series relies on the original Urdu version of the novel.
According to him, there is much in the novel that has never been shown in an audio-visual project, which has been included in his 8-part series.
Hamid Hussain while giving an interview to foreign media said that there are 2 main female lead roles in this series, one of which is played by Sajal Ali.
It should be remembered that in 1972, a film based on ‘Amrao Jaan Aada’ was made in Pakistan under the direction of Hasan Tariq, in which Rani played the lead role, while Rekha played the lead role in Muzaffar Ali’s film in Bollywood in 1981. . In 2006, Aishwarya showed her acting skills in JP Dutta’s film. In 1958, two Indian films were also inspired by it, including SM Yusuf’s ‘Mehndi’ and Nakhsheb Jarchavi’s ‘Zindagi Ya Tovan’.
Also in 1981, composer Saleem Sulaiman presented it as a stage musical.
