A shopkeeper in Manghopir area of Karachi resisted the robbers and saved 24 lakh rupees from being looted.
According to the police officials, the shopkeeper was going to deposit 24 lakh rupees in the bank near Manghopir New Nazimabad when two robbers on a motorcycle followed him.
The robbers tried to stop the shopkeeper near the main gate of New Nazimabad and opened fire without stopping, as a result of which he was injured by a bullet in the leg, while the armed robbers fled the scene without taking away the money.
According to Mangho Peer police, the condition of the injured shopkeeper is critical. The police started investigating the incident by collecting evidence from the injured shopkeeper and the spot.
Manghopir police said that the injured citizen Sarzameen Khan was going to deposit 24 lakh rupees on his motorcycle to the bank located in front of the main gate of Naya Nazimabad when 2 robbers on the motorcycle followed the citizen.
Near the main gate of New Nazimabad, the robbers tried to scare the citizen and did not stop firing, as a result of which the citizen was injured by a bullet in the leg and hid behind the cover of the bank, while the armed accused escaped from the spot without looting the money.
