Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has criticized the delay in the results after the local elections and the actions of the provincial government and the Election Commission, saying that PTI’s friends have also abused in this matter.
Talking to the media, Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that Karachi is in a strange situation at the moment. Inflation is increasing. Everything is getting out of reach of people. Government is not doing its job properly. The people of Karachi thought that now the conditions of Karachi will be better, for which they voted in large numbers.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that the people of Karachi gave a big mandate to Jamaat-e-Islami but the People’s Party rigged it. All the work has been done, which amounts to anti-democracy and anti-nationalism. Those who call themselves champions of the people are not democratic in their own party. The Election Commission is a witness that only Jamaat-e-Islami was behind the election.
Hafiz Naeemur Rahman asked whether the Election Commission is supporting the People’s Party to increase its numbers. He said that the sad thing is that friends of PTI have also abused. PTI has played the game of PPP on UC of Liaquatabad. Fawad Chaudhry has said that we will not support Jamaat-e-Islami, that means he will support People’s Party.
He said that PPP’s dream of bringing its own Jayala Mayor will never be fulfilled. Get 11 USCs selected and judge these 20 USCs on fairness. On March 10, we will protest at the office of the Election Commission. Until the election of these 11 USCs is announced, we will hold sit-ins across the country. We will not rise until there is a decision.
