Tel Aviv: A small single-engine plane crashed on a highway in Israel and a terrible fire broke out on board.
According to Israeli media, the privately-owned plane had taken off from the suburbs to the city, but due to a technical problem, the pilot attempted an emergency landing in the midst of vehicles running on the superhighway.
During an emergency landing, the plane lost control of the pilot and crashed vertically on the highway. The plane’s wings flew off and a terrible fire broke out due to excess oil in the engine.
The pilot, a 51-year-old husband and wife, died on the spot. Both bodies are unrecognizable as they are completely burnt.
Fortunately, no other vehicle or person was harmed despite the plane falling on the highway. An inquiry committee was formed to investigate the incident.
