San Francisco: WhatsApp has been paying unusual attention to cross-device support since a year ago and has now started testing a dual-panel or two-pane layout for foldable phones and tablets, some of which have leaked images.
In September 2022, Meta’s subsidiary WhatsApp introduced companion mode to run the app on multiple devices. But even so, this app was inadequate and awkward for a tablet and especially for a foldable phone that opens and closes like a book, the WhatsApp option and display.
But it doesn’t end there because even for the best of tablets, WhatsApp’s display looks really bad and that’s why Meta has started testing dual panels thinking to solve this problem. In this, WhatsApp can be seen in two parallel panels, the scrolling of which has also been improved.
WhatsApp news website WebBetaInfo has said that an Android version is now available for the foldable phone and larger tablet that will feature dual screens. It is expected that some users will be using it as well. However, it will probably be added in WhatsApp version 2.23.5.9.
