Unknown gunmen killed 6 people including the governor in a murderous attack in the central Philippines.
According to the report of the AP news agency, armed men dressed in military uniforms attacked the home of the Governor of Negros Oriental Province, Ruel Degamo.
Royal Degamo was sitting outside the house talking with some people when 6 armed men opened fire on him with big weapons.
The wife of the slain governor said that the husband was attacked when he was busy consulting with officials of a department on a matter. He said that 5 people were also killed due to the firing of the armed men.
Police have surrounded the crime scene and started investigation while CCTV footage is also being obtained.
