Riyadh: The Saudi government has issued orders for the necessary arrangements for mosques during the month of Ramadan, which will be subject to disciplinary action.
In this regard, the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs and Da’wah and Guidance, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh, has said that the use of cameras to collect donations and broadcast prayer scenes in mosques will be banned during Ramadan.
In the written order, it has been said that the imams and muezzins of the mosques should fully comply with their duties. Absent from duty during Ramadan under any circumstances other than extreme necessity. In case of absence, make alternate arrangements for Imamat and Adhan and Adhan in mosques should be given at the fixed time in Umm al-Qari calendar, Adhan of Isha should be given only at the fixed time.
The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs also directed that the period of takbeer after the adhan should be restricted, apart from this, the Imam of the mosque will issue permits for itikaaf and he will be responsible for making sure that those who do itikaaf do not violate any law. Don’t work. It will be the responsibility of the imam to register the private information of the pilgrims.
The statement further said that donations should not be collected for any purpose including iftar. Adhere to the prescribed regulations in relation to Iftar table, it will not be allowed to set up tents or make temporary rooms for Iftar table.
