Rich countries are responsible for the problems of the world's poor, the United Nations

Doha: The United Nations has called the rich countries of the world responsible for the difficult lives of the people of other poor countries.

In this regard, while addressing the meeting regarding the development of poor countries in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, blamed the rich countries as the main cause of poverty in the world. The Secretary General of the United Nations said that there are more than 40 countries in the world that are suffering from extreme poverty.

He said that the rich countries are putting pressure on the poor countries and harassing them with different tactics. Rich countries and big energy companies are putting pressure on developing and poor countries to increase interest rates, their action is highly condemnable.

According to Antonio Guterres, this is a vicious cycle in which the economies of poor countries are trapped and which hinders efforts to improve health and education in these countries.

The Secretary General of the UN said that the poor countries are going through the worst period of poverty, yet the behavior of the rich countries is not correcting. It seems that the rich countries designed the global financial system only for their own benefit.

He emphasized that rich countries should provide 500 billion dollars annually to help other countries so that they can come out of difficulties and their education, health and economic system can be improved.

He said that nothing has been done for the countries suffering from the disaster due to global climate change and the aid given to them is also negligible.

He further said that fuel related companies are making huge profits while millions of people in the world do not even have two meals a day.
