Sri Lanka batter Charith Asalanka who is a part of Jaffna Titans in Lanka T10 Super League which is taking place at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium has said that the shortest format of the game is certainly a challenging one for bowlers.
“It’s really hard to bowl in T10. A bowler just gets two overs and it becomes tricky for him. But it also depends on how you are playing on that particular day because sometimes bowlers have something on offer from the pitches and sometimes the tracks help the batters,” he said.
The left-handed batter believes that scoring runs as a batter is the key to success, no matter what form of the game it is.
“We are here to score runs for our team and that’s our job and that’s what everyone is expecting from us. I think no matter the format is, we have to score runs,” Asalanka said.
Titans have some prominent names in the unit such as David Wiese and Kusal Mendis and Asalanka is of the opinion that it’s a great opportunity for youngsters to enhance their skills.
