New Delhi: The meeting of the G20 foreign ministers in India has fallen into disarray, the main reason of which is the accusations of America and Russia on the issue of Ukraine war.
The meeting, hosted by India, failed to produce a joint declaration, the second time in a week that ministers from the G20 group failed to reach a consensus.
During the meeting, serious differences emerged on the issue of the Ukraine war, on one side the West led by the United States and on the other side Russia and China took their own positions, all the countries stuck to their previous positions.
A statement issued by India said that most members strongly condemned the war in Ukraine and stressed that it was causing immense human suffering and adding to the fragility of the global economy. Is.
After the meeting, Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar said that there were differences on the Ukraine conflict which we could not resolve, we tried hard but the distance between the countries was too great.
He said that there was consensus on 95% of the issues discussed in the meeting. However, consensus could not be reached on the two paragraphs of the declaration, not everyone agreed on the two paragraphs.
It should be noted that earlier no joint declaration could be issued in the G20 finance ministers’ meeting in Bengaluru.
