Nashik: An Indian court, a magistrate court in the state of Maharashtra, surprised everyone by dealing with a routine case in a unique way.
According to Indian media, in 2010, a rickshaw hit a motorcycle, causing the rider to fall and sustain injuries. Instead of admitting his mistake, the rickshaw driver was fighting.
A case was registered against the 30-year-old rickshaw driver Mohammad Rauf and his appearances in the court continued where he could be jailed for a few months, but for so many years this case was waiting for a decision, but now the magistrate court has given a decision on this case.
Magistrate Court Judge Tejwant Singh Sindhu, using his special powers, ordered the accused Rauf to plant two trees in the Bani Masjid at the site of the accident and to offer prayers five times a day for 21 days.
The court also ordered the accused to water and take care of other plants and trees in the premises of the mosque.
Accused Rauf had told the court that despite being a Muslim, he does not pray five times a day, perhaps that is why he was angry that day and had an argument.
