The Lahore High Court has issued a written order for the release of PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and other leaders and workers who were arrested under Jail Bharu movement.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh heard Fawad Chaudhry’s plea, the court ordered the release of all the leaders. The court has asked the parties, including the Punjab government, to respond on March 6.
Written order
Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh issued an interim written order on the request of Tehreek-e-Insaaf, which said that the detained persons in the provided list of names should be detained if they are required in any criminal case and the rest should be released.
The court directed the parties to submit the report on March 7.
It should be noted that Tehreek-e-Insaf has challenged the detention in the High Court, advocate Sikandar Qarnain appeared on behalf of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
