A 20-year-old student was killed in a deadly clash between two groups at Punjabi University in Patiala, Indian Punjab.
According to Indian media, a CCTV footage of the murder of a student of Punjabi University has emerged. The victim has been identified as Navjot Singh, an engineering student. Navjot was killed after a clash between students and some outsiders.
In the video, the assailants on a motorcycle can be seen easily fleeing the scene while some students are carrying the injured youth on the motorcycle and taking him to the hospital.

According to university officials, the encounter took place when some outsiders fought outside the engineering college during which the accused stabbed the student who was shifted to the government hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Navjot was a Computer Science Engineering (CSE) student at Punjabi University’s College of Engineering.
The opposition has criticized the state government for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Reacting to the incident, BJP leader Jai Inder Kaur asked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to “wake up”.
