Mumbai: Bollywood actress and Saif Ali Khan’s mother Sharmila Tagore says that when Saif was young, everyone would pull his cheeks and ask if he would grow up to be a cricketer like his father or an actor like his mother.
According to an Indian media report, Sharmila Tagore says that just as Saif Ali Khan’s children Sara, Ibrahim, Taimur and Jahangir are getting a lot of attention from the media, in the same way Saif also got a lot of attention from people in his childhood.
Saif Ali Khan’s mother told in her recent interview that Saif used to get worried and annoyed due to excessive attention, people would pull his cheeks and ask him what he will become when he grows up. Actor or cricketer? On which Saif used to say that he will become a hockey player.
Sharmila Tagore said that, however, the fame and attention Saif Ali Khan received has been a cause of great concern for her.
Sharmila Tagore said, “But things are different now. She has learned from Sarah that you have to accept that her children and grandchildren also get a lot of media attention and that is the reality.”
About the two children of Saif Ali Khan with Kareena, Taimur and Jahangir, he said, ‘They will adapt to it, but they have problems with the media. They consider themselves very important and special but it is not their success but their parents’ success.’
It should be noted that Sharmila Tagore married former Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan in 1968, who belongs to Pataudi Nawab family of India. Their three children include Saif Ali Khan and two daughters Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan.
Saif Ali Khan’s first marriage was to actress Amrita Singh, but they separated in 2004, after which Saif tied the knot with fellow actress Kareena Kapoor in 2012.
It should be noted that Sharmila Tagore is ready to appear on the big screen again after a long gap of 13 years with the film ‘Gul Mehr’.
