Pennsylvania: An explosive device was found in a passenger’s luggage at the international airport in the US state of Pennsylvania, which sent security personnel racing.
According to the world news agency, the American agency FBI arrested the suspect after confirming that the thing found in the suitcase of a 40-year-old passenger at the airport in Pennsylvania was explosive material.
The statement issued by the US Transportation Security Administration said that the alarm went off while checking the baggage of a passenger named Mark Muffley bound for Florida.
When the suitcase was opened, a round shaped object was found, which contained wax powder and plastic-wrapped soffit and two fuses. The FBI was called in and confirmed the explosives.
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old suspect, Mark Muffley, surprisingly left the airport, but the law enforcement agencies arrested the suspect at a house after chasing him.
The spokesperson of the FBI says that the investigation of the suspect is still in the initial stages. The details will be communicated to the media soon.
