Rawalpindi: One passenger was killed and 9 injured when a passenger van fell into a deep ditch at Jawa Mandi Gola in Kotli Sattian area.
According to Rescue 1122 and the police, the passenger van on its way to Kotli Sattian from Rawalpindi near Jawa Mandi Gola Mor, lost control of the driver and fell into the ditch due to fog. Ten people including women were in the van.
Rescue 1122 and police teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to Rawalpindi and nearby hospitals after first aid. The deceased person could not be identified, while the condition of two of the injured is said to be critical.
SHO Kotli Sattian Inspector Basharat Abbasi said that the van lost control of the driver due to the fog and fell into an accident two and a half to three hundred feet deep from the road, while the identity of the person who died in the accident could not be identified.
