After Pakistan’s controversial film ‘Joyland’, another film ‘Noor’ stole the Cannes Film Festival.
The Pakistani short film ‘Noor’ directed by Umar Adil has won the best film on health theme at the online edition of the Cannes World Film Festival in January.
Wearing glasses affects the personality of girls especially, they look older and they don’t have good relationships, as Umar Adil, the director of this film based on stereotypes, says that this film is about not wearing glasses. Causally sheds light on the impact on children and shows how this pressure affects their personality.
He said that it is a very sweet story based on the lens of a girl Noor, who is a very good student but faces some problems when her eyesight starts to fail.
Basically the film is about the negative thoughts associated with glasses that one should not wear glasses or they will look old.
The cast of the film includes child star Tanisha Shamim, Sarwat Geelani, Umeer Rana, Manza Waqas and Tasneem Ansari among others.
