Peshawar: In light of the Supreme Court’s order, the Peshawar High Court has disposed of PTI’s requests to hold elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A hearing was held on PTI’s petitions for the provincial assembly election, the hearing was conducted by Justice Roohul Amin and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim.
Lawyer petitioner Shamail Ahmed Butt said that the Supreme Court has given a decision regarding the election.
Justice Ruhol Amin remarked that the Supreme Court has given a decision regarding the election, we are bound by the order of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has said that the Governor should give a date in consultation with the Election Commission.
Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim remarked that the Governor has been bound by the election date in the Supreme Court decision.
The court remarked that if there is no action, then they can approach the court. Lawyer petitioner Shamail Ahmad Butt said that these things are clearly written in the constitution. Justice Ruhol Amin remarked that I wish they read what they make.
