Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan expressed his determination to rebuild the devastated areas and said that he has worked day and night to provide safe, comfortable and modern housing to the citizens displaced by the earthquake.
According to the World News Agency, more than 50,000 people died in the earthquake that occurred in Turkey on February 26, and around 5,000 residential buildings were destroyed.
According to an estimate, more than 80 lakh citizens were displaced in the earthquake, and work has been started on various projects to resettle them, which is being supervised by the Turkish President himself.
The Turkish president has said in a statement that with the help of Allah, he will fulfill his promise to resettle the victims as soon as possible, for which he is working day and night without stopping.
President Tayyip Erdoğan further said that the debris is being removed and at the same time the construction of 390,000 comfortable and safe houses has started where our brothers and sisters and children will be able to live in peace.
The Turkish president also visited an earthquake-hit area and directed to speed up the rehabilitation works. He mingled with the citizens and shared their sufferings.
