India is in the final stages of buying high-flying armed drones from the US.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, India is buying these drones for use during conflicts on the Himalayan border with China.

America’s modern MQ9B drones are armed with anti-submarine warfare capabilities.

These drones are also used to defend against ground and anti-ship missile attacks.

Through them, India can increase its spying activities in the Indian Ocean as China increases its presence there.

The decision-making process for the procurement of drones is underway in New Delhi, with approval likely to be given in the next few weeks.
