The Pedestrian Bridge was hit by a truck last night, shaking its foundations and causing a part of the bridge to become crooked.
Karachi: On Rashid Minhas Road, the truck hit the Pad Strain Bridge and shook its foundations.
Pedestrians face difficulties in transportation. The bridge is dangerously damaged, but the staff of Uzmi Karachi Municipality could not reach it yet.
A truck hit the pedestrian bridge in front of Gulshan Iqbal Block 10 Salman Plaza last night and shook its foundations and a part of the bridge became crooked.
Citizens are still using it. Some women fell and got injured due to the unevenness of the bridge.
Residents of the area said that a truck hit the bridge hard during the night due to which its pillars became crooked and a part of the bridge bent to one side.
Despite this, people continue to use it. The residents said that despite the passage of many hours, the staff of the Karachi Municipality did not arrive.
It is clear that it comes under the MC limits of Rashid Minhas Road. This pedestrian bridge has also been installed by KMC.
Residents said that there is a danger of the bridge collapsing at any moment, which could lead to an untoward incident.
