Karachi: A fire broke out in a mosquito coil manufacturing factory located near site area Ghani Chowrangi in Shahr Quaid area, which intensified as soon as we saw it. He took it in his circle.
In this regard, the fire brigade said that the report of the fire was received at 10:10, upon which the fire brigade staff was immediately dispatched to the spot along with 5 vehicles and seeing the severity of the fire, 2 more vehicles of the fire brigade were dispatched. Delivered on the spot.
Officials said that mosquito coils and other products are manufactured in the factory, while the employees in the factory were evacuated safely. Apart from chemicals, gas cylinders were also reported to be present in the factory, after which the fire brigade personnel initially pulled out several cylinders trying to save themselves from exploding cylinders.
The fire brigade staff were busy fighting the fire till late night. Crews faced shortage of water while extinguishing the fire, due to which a water bowser had to be brought in to fill it with water. On receiving the information about the fire, a team of Site B police and Rangers also reached the spot, while the electricity of the factory was also disconnected.
