The Islamabad police tortured the court reporters of Express News and New News and pushed all the court reporters out of the court premises.
According to Express News, during the appearance of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in the Islamabad High Court, the Islamabad Police pushed out the court reporters present in the High Court.
Security registrars of the High Court were also present on this occasion but they remained helpless, the police refused to listen to the words of the High Court Registrar’s office.
The police tortured Express News senior court reporter Saqib Bashir and New News court reporter Zeeshan Syed and threw them out of the High Court.
The officials of Islamabad Police tortured both of them and took away the mobile phone of court reporter Zeeshan Syed.
The journalists on the four walls of the High Court made a video of the violence which went viral, the journalists protested the incident and demanded the IG to investigate the incident and take action against the bullying of the officials.
Meanwhile, according to the spokesperson of Islamabad Capital Police, IG Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan took notice of the incident and ordered an investigation in the matter of violence against journalists in the Islamabad High Court.
