He added, ‘I firmly stuck to my decision not to do negative roles in any more films and I kept rejecting all offers and sat idle for 8 months’.
Manoj Bajpayee said, “All the negative roles I was being offered were opposite superstars and the pay was very good, but I had something else in mind, so I was turning down so much money and work that I wanted.” It was very difficult.
“At that time I didn’t know if I was doing it right or wrong,” he said.
It should be noted that after the film ‘Satya’, Manoj Bajpayee worked with Ramgopal Varma again in the film ‘Kon’ in 1999 and in the film ‘Road’ in 2002.
