Karachi: Syed Khalid Raza, Deputy Director of Dar Arqam Schools Karachi Region and Vice Chairman of Federation of Private Schools Pakistan, was killed by motorcycle-borne suspects with a bullet marker in the head at the doorstep of his house in Gulistan-Johar.
The accused escaped from the spot while the Sindh Governor, Sindh Chief Minister condemned the incident and sought a report from the Karachi Police Chief.
According to the details, 55-year-old Syed Khalid Raza, who lives near Madrasa Anwar-ul-Qur’an, Golestan Johar Block 7, was seriously injured by two motorcycle-riding suspects who shot him on the head and fled the scene. He was seriously injured and taken to a nearby private hospital. He died before reaching there.
As soon as the incident was reported, police and law enforcement officials reached the spot. According to SHO Safdarmashwani, a shell of 30 bore pistol was recovered from the spot.
Before the incident, the victim was going somewhere and as soon as he left the house, he was heading towards his car when he was targeted by two accused on a motorcycle and fled from the spot.
According to the SHO, the murder incident is not a sign of resistance to robbery because during the search of the deceased, his mobile phone, 70 thousand rupees in cash, and other documents were found.
The police have initially started investigating the identity of the accused and their escape routes and CCTV footage cameras in the vicinity while the shell found by the police will be sent for forensics.
The deceased was Deputy Director of Dar Arqam Schools Karachi Region and Vice Chairman of Federation of Private Schools Pakistan and also a social leader individually, his political affiliation is said to be Jamaat-e-Islami.
On the other hand, All Pakistan Private School Association Chairman Syed Wali Warsi and General Secretary Shahryar Ali have strongly condemned the killing of Syed Khalid Raza.
