Today, the 'Surprise Day' of shooting down the Indian planes will be celebrated with enthusiasm

Lahore: 27th February 2019 is the day of history when the Shaheens of Pakistan Air Force gave a befitting reply to the enemy and told the world that we are always ready to defend the Kingdom of God.

Today was named Surprise Day after two Indian planes were shot down and a pilot captured under Operation Swift Retort.

On February 14, 2019, India staged a false flag operation in Pulwama, the only purpose of which was to start a war against Pakistan, and on February 15, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi threatened strict action against Pakistan in response to the Pulwama false flag operation.

On February 16, Pakistan sought evidence from India regarding the Pulwama attack. On February 18, Pakistan recalled its High Commission from India and diplomatic relations between the two countries fell to an all-time low. On February 21, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres advised both countries to hold meaningful talks On February 21, the leader of the opposition in India, Rawal Gandhi, asked Modi not to politicize the Pulwama incident.

On February 22, the then Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa gave a message of dialogue not war, but at the same time hinted that India would give a befitting reply to any aggression.

On February 26, the Indian Air Force attempted to target a madrassa near Balakot and claimed to have targeted suspected terrorists in Balakot and killed more than 300 terrorists.

India has not been able to present any evidence in this regard till date, in fact the Indian Mirage aircraft failed miserably to hit the target.

In response to the Indian provocation, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan stated that Pakistan will give a strong response to this aggression and the place and time will be determined by Pakistan’s will.

On February 27, Pakistan thwarted India’s attempt to cross the LoC and shot down two Indian aircraft. Indian pilot Abhinandan, who crashed in Pakistani territory, was arrested.

Major General Asif Ghafoor at the time said that it was a deliberate choice to avoid any military targets and limit the damage and claimed that one of the initially selected targets was a military command center but P AF Command decided not to attack him.

The captured Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan was provided the best facilities and on March 1, Abhinandan was handed over to the Indian Army via the Wagah border.

Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression is remembered as Surprise Day.

On this occasion, Indian Prime Minister Modi was also forced to acknowledge the skills of the Pakistani army and said that if there were Rafale aircraft, the situation could have been different.
