Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that he will visit China in April to try to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
According to the World News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron has said that he will visit China in the first week of April to seek the help of President Xi Jinping to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
The French president’s statement came as China published a 12-point paper calling for a ceasefire in Ukraine and a political settlement to end the year-long conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The French president said that China is engaged in peace efforts between Russia and Ukraine, which is a good thing, but for complete peace, Russia’s aggression and the withdrawal of its troops are necessary.
President Emmanuel Macron also demanded that Russia withdraw its troops from the territories of Ukraine it has annexed and respect the territorial sovereignty of its citizens.
The French president expressed his wish that China should help us put pressure on Russia to never use chemical or nuclear weapons.
