Senior Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah says that South Indian films, despite lacking rationality and sensitivity, are presented in a very good manner and that is the reason why South Indian films are giving better results than Hindi cinema. .
Speaking to an Indian media outlet, the 72-year-old actor said that Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu film industries are more creative and authentic than Bollywood or Hindi film industry.
Known for his unique style of acting in the Mumbai film industry for the last 50 years, Naseeruddin Shah continued the conversation and added that though films from the South lack rationality and sensitivity, their presentation style is always much better.
He said that in recent years, films from the South such as KGF, Pushpa The Rise, Kantara and RRR have overtaken Hindi films at the local box office and done a lot of business.
Several Hindi films released in recent months and years by leading actors of Hindi cinema like Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan did not do well at the box office last year.
A recent example of this is Akshay Kumar’s film Selfie, which released two days ago on Friday but fared less than expected.
