New Delhi: Female principal set on fire by ex-student dies in India
According to Indian media, Ashutosh Srivastava, a former student who was angry at the failure, set fire to Vemkita Sharma, the principal of a local college in Indore, a few days ago. The principal was taken to the hospital in a critical condition.
Police officials say that last week, principal Vemkita Sharma was first attacked by a former student with a sharp instrument and then set on fire by sprinkling oil. Ashutosh Srivastava was arrested after the incident. According to preliminary investigation, Ashutosh Shrivastava was a student of B. Pharmacy and had failed in 7th semester. He was constantly threatening the principal and other staff of the college against which a complaint was lodged.
