Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Darnay has dismissed the news regarding the payment of salaries and pensions as baseless.
On the social media website Twitter, he said that giving and spreading fake news is harmful to the national economic interests, such reports and news should be avoided without confirmation from the relevant ministry.
It should be noted that earlier the spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance said in an explanatory statement that rumors are circulating that the government has directed to stop payment of salaries and pensions, etc., which is completely false and baseless.
Payment of salaries and pensions has been completed, AGPR
On the other hand, the Accountant General Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) has stated that the process of payment of salaries and pensions for February 2023 has been completed and salaries and pensions will be paid to government employees and pensioners on time.
In the explanatory statement, AGPRK spokesperson said that on February 24, Kocheques have also been provided to the concerned banks. The spokesperson said that employees and pensioners will be paid salaries and pensions for February 2023.
