Karachi: The President of the Civil Aviation Officers Association has sent a letter to the DGCAA to adopt austerity measures in view of the economic situation, demanding an immediate stop to CAA contract recruitment.
President CAA Officers Association Mian Muneeb Iqbal has written a letter to DGCAA Khaqan Murtaza in which he has advised to adopt austerity in view of the economic situation of the country. According to the post, taking into account the country’s economic conditions, the administration should use a 1800 cc vehicle instead of 4000 cc.
All senior officers including DG, Additional DG should follow the cost saving plan, reduce official tours and give preference to meetings through Zoom and video link, use less electricity in offices to save electricity while purchasing new vehicles. An immediate ban should be imposed.
According to the post, CAA contract recruitments should be stopped immediately and CAA expenses should be banned for treatment abroad, purchase of new furniture for all offices, official lunches and dinners should be banned.
