The name of the actor playing the lead role in the film based on the life of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has been revealed.
Saru Ganguly had confirmed the news of making a film on his life in 2021.
He had told that the film will be made in Hindi language but the name of the film and other details are still not clear.
According to a recent Indian media report, actor Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the lead role in the biopic of Saroo Ganguly and the shooting of the film will soon begin in Kolkata.
The report also states that the story of this film will cover the journey of an Indian cricketer from his personal life to becoming the captain of the Indian cricket team and then the president of the BCCI.
Earlier, there were reports in the Indian media that either Rahtik Roshan or Siddharth Malhotra will be selected for the role of Saroo Ganguly in the film.
It should be noted that no official announcement regarding the cast of the film has been made yet.
Earlier, films have also been made on the life of former Indian captain MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev.
The role of MS Dhoni was played by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput while the role of Kapil Dev was played by actor Ranveer Singh.
