Quetta: The Railways Police, while conducting an operation against drug smuggling by train, recovered a large quantity of ice and hashish from Quetta station in two different incidents.
In one incident, a female passenger was arrested red-handed by SHO Sanaullah Shah while carrying 2 kg of ice. The woman secretly hid the ice inside the embellished clothes.
In another incident, the Special Branch recovered 870 grams of ice and 80 grams of hashish from the passenger of Jafar Express, Saddam Hussain.
Waqas Ijaz, in-charge of the accused’s special branch, searched platform number 1 of the Quetta railway station and found drugs in the possession of the accused.
The accused had secretly hidden the drugs inside his clothes and shoes. The Railways Police recovered 2.87 kg of ice and 80 grams of hashish and registered a case in Quetta Railway Police Station and started investigation.
