The Lahore High Court’s Registrar’s Office objected to the petition against the law of defamation.
A judge of the High Court will hear the petition as an objection. The petition was filed by Advocate Nadeem Sarwar in which the Chief Minister and Governor Punjab through the Principal Secretary while the Provincial Government was also made a party.
According to the Registrar’s Office, the applicant did not attach the copy of the notification.
According to the petitioner, the defamation law is against the constitution and the law, a new law cannot be made in the presence of the defamation ordinance and the defamation act, journalists were not consulted in the defamation law, while the law hastily controls journalists and the media. has been brought to do.
The petition requested that the court declare the defamation law null and void and stay the implementation of the defamation law till the final decision on the petition.
