Pakistan and China sign 23 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), Photo; social media
Islamabad: The important meeting between Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir and Chinese President Xi Jinping has taken place at the end of the visit of a high-level delegation of Pakistan to Beijing.
According to reports, in a picture that has gone viral on social media, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir can be seen shaking hands with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also present on this occasion.
It should be noted that the Pakistani delegation included Army Chief General Asim Munir along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and others.
The delegation was accompanied by prominent Pakistani businessmen to explore new opportunities for trade and business with Chinese companies. Who met with heads of companies of friendly countries for bilateral trade.
After the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang in Beijing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch while briefing the media said that the meetings focused on mutual trust, common principles and strategic governance. Emphasis was placed on the established strong Pak-China strategic cooperative partnership.
According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, the two countries reiterated their full support for each other on various issues and also reiterated their determination to advance the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and complete the ongoing projects on time.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated his commitment to make the CPEC projects safer, to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and projects in Pakistan.
Furthermore, the two countries agreed to maintain high-level dialogue and dialogue, strengthen institutional linkages in all fields, and continue consultation on bilateral and global issues.
It may be recalled that during this visit, Pakistan and China signed 23 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation in various fields.
The MoUs signed in Islamabad covered transportation infrastructure, industry, energy, agriculture, media, health, water management, socio-economic development and other areas of mutual interest.
