In this regard, the Clinical Laboratory Regulatory Authority says in its report that there are more than 100 illegal laboratories out of 190 in Quetta, all 19 laboratories established in Kuchlak are illegal.
The report states that 14 laboratories in Sariab, 22 out of 24 in Khuzdar district, 13 out of 15 in Hub district and 7 out of 8 in Ketch are illegal.
The Clinical Laboratory Regulatory Authority has stated in its report that illegal laboratories are functioning even in some big hospitals, in many districts no further survey could be conducted due to lack of funds and resources.
The Healthcare Commission, which inspects private clinical laboratories and hospitals in Balochistan, is also inactive.
Chief Executive Officer Health Care Commission Dr. Noor Qazi has said that the Health Care Commission is in the process of implementation, the Health Care Commission will start working after the funding issues are resolved in a couple of months.
Dr. Noor Qazi says that illegal clinical laboratories will be surveyed and their registration will be started.
