Karachi: NED University of Engineering and Technology has announced a scholarship from 100% to 20% for all undergraduate students who are studying and new admissions, for which Rs.233 million has been allocated.

AAfter approval from the Syndicate for the implementation of the announcement of ED University, it has also been released under the name of Undergraduate Fellowship Program. , is attributed to Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar and Ms. Fatima Jinnah.

23.3 million rupees have been earmarked for the new fellowship program annually and NED University has claimed that the example of giving such a scholarship is unprecedented in any university in Pakistan. It is going to set a new standard on the horizon of higher education in the country, thanks to which no student will have to give up their education simply on the basis of financial constraints.

It should be noted that the said fellowship program is in addition to the already running Rs 20 crore scholarship program.

According to Dr. Sarosh Lodhi, Vice Chancellor of NED University, “34 students of Karachi Board, 8 students of A Level and other boards will also be able to get 100% scholarships in the same ratio, scholarships will be given to 2900 new students in which Scholarships will be given to 1500 Karachi Board, 300 A Level, 60 Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas Board students depending on the allotted seats.

According to the information received by “Express” regarding the fellowship program, 100% tuition and examination fee will be given to the top 50 meritorious students who apply for admission to Jinnah Merit Fellowship from all educational boards.

In Iqbal Leadership Fellowship, the students who take rank from 51 to 100 on merit will get 70% fellowship, in Sirsyed Visionary Fellowship, students with rank from 101 to 150 on merit will get 50%, ongoing scholarship called Johar Fellowship. In Liaqat Ali Khan Excellence Fellowship, students of rank 151 to 225 will get 30%, students of rank 225 to 325 will get 25%, and students of rank above 401 in Fatima Jinnah Academic Fellowship will get 20% of fellowship.

According to NED University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sarosh Lodhi, the list of students with the required eligibility for the fellowship will be released on the NED website along with the merit list at the time of admission.

For the students studying in the university, it has been announced that among the students who are already enrolled, the top 3 students of each program will be awarded the fellowship after the first semester on the basis of their CGPA. 100% tuition fee in Jinnah Merit Fellowship for position holder, 70% fellowship under Iqbal Leadership Fellowship for second position holder, 50% tuition fee under Sir Syed Visionary Fellowship for third position holder. will
