Karachi: A welder died and two people were injured when an oil tanker exploded during welding in Kemari. The tanker was covered. There was an explosion due to gas filling.
According to Express, a person named Zulfiqar was welding in an oil tanker in Shireen Jinnah Colony of Kemari area when suddenly there was a loud explosion as a result of which two tankers were completely destroyed, windows of nearby buildings were broken, houses were damaged and roofs were broken. The injured were rushed to the hospital where 65-year-old welder Zulfikar succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, while the condition of the two injured is critical.
Due to the blast, there was panic in the area, where the explosion took place in Shireen Jinnah Colony, as usual, welding is done in tankers parked on the side of the road due to which the flow of traffic is also affected.
Oil tanker owner Fazlullah Marwat said that when welding was being done in the tank of the tanker, the top lid of the tank was closed due to which the gas filled the tank and caused an explosion. The deceased Zulfiqar was also a resident of Shireen Jinnah Colony. was,
Edhi’s volunteer told Express Madgaar 15 Police received a call that there was an explosion in Shireen Jinnah Colony. Edhi’s team immediately reached the spot and rescued people and took them to the hospital.
