Quetta: The Chief Minister of Balochistan has given an indication of action by warning the striking teachers.
Sarfraz Bugti, speaking at a function organized under the title Safar Mualim in Quetta, said that it is important to provide equal opportunities for education to children regardless of social discrimination. He said that teaching is part of compulsory services and teachers cannot be part of any kind of strike, in which case action will be taken against them.
He said that a gulf was created between the state and the youth through a false narrative. Ninety-nine percent of the problems in Balochistan are due to governance.
The Chief Minister said that PSDP needs to be corrected to bring the fruits of development to the people. He assured that he will ensure merit in the province and no job will be sold. Sarfaraz Bugti also said that Balochistan cannot get rights through violence, parliament is the right way, Balochistan government will pay the educational expenses of children of civilian martyrs.
