According to the spokesperson of Punjab Interior Department, those who forcefully beg from innocent children, elderly and women will be severely punished. Disposing of the organs of innocent children and forced begging do not deserve any concession. Forced begging from children, elderly and women has been declared a serious crime.
He said that earlier there was no law to punish the gang leaders of beggar mafia. The abode of mafia chiefs involved in serious crimes is prison. In this regard, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has issued special instructions to curb the beggar mafia. Punjab Interior Department is actively working against those who oppress innocent citizens. The Home Department has sent the amendment to the law to the Cabinet for approval.
