Karachi: Additional Chief Secretary Sindh Khalid Haider Shah has revealed that no new development project will be started in the next financial year, but the old projects will be completed.
Additional Chief Secretary Local Government Khalid Haider Shah disclosed the cut in the development budget while talking to the journalists and said that no new development scheme is included in the budget of the next fiscal year 2024-25 from the local government in Sindh including Karachi. is being done and work will continue only on ongoing development projects.
The Additional Chief Secretary Local Government said that only those projects which are ongoing from the financial year 2023-24 or earlier will be completed and they can be revised if required.
He said that the ongoing projects of the Provincial Annual Development Program (ADP) will be completed in the financial year 2024-2025, for the ongoing schemes in the entire province including Karachi, 60 to 62 billion rupees will be required next year.
