Karachi: A ban on the display of weapons has been imposed in Sindh for 90 days, security agencies and registered security companies will be allowed to carry weapons during guard duty hours.
According to the notification issued by the Sindh Home Department, no display of weapons will be allowed during movement, weapons will be kept inside vehicles, guards will not display weapons while on patrol or in open areas. Weapons shall not be displayed unnecessarily.
The notification states that SHOs of all concerned police stations have been empowered to register cases against those violating the notification.
According to the notification, the DIG will send a report to the Home Department about the violation of this order within 15 days.
