Karachi: In Sindh, only 51% of the entire development budget could be spent in 11 months of the current financial year 2023-24.

According to the Finance Department document, 5256 development projects were planned in the current financial year, out of which 3311 projects are already underway and 1945 projects are new.

In the current financial year, 3 trillion 85 billion 50 crore rupees were allocated for development projects in Sindh, however, 2 trillion 56 billion 896 million rupees were released in 11 months.

One trillion 91 billion 21 billion rupees 90 million of the released money has been spent on development projects, this amount is 51 percent of the development budget, while the amount of one billion 28 billion 60 million rupees is still left.

One month of the current fiscal year is left and the provincial government has to spend one trillion 28 billion 604 million rupees in this one month.
