Karachi: In connection with Eid-ul-Adha, Commissioner Karachi has given permission to set up cattle markets at 22 places in the city, the notification for establishing markets has been issued.
According to the notification issued by the Commissioner Karachi, markets will be established at 3 places in South District, in which the cattle market will be under the control of Baldia Uzma Karachi at Sunday Bachat Bazar Ground near Hyperstar Clifton, as well as Mari Pur Road near Dua Hotel Lyari, and Cattle markets will be established at Mohammadi Ground Osmanabad which will be under the Town Municipal Corporation.
Similarly, cattle markets will be established in Ahsanabad in Eastern District, which will be under the Town Municipal Corporation, cattle markets will be established in three places in Western District, KDA Ground Sarjani Town under Baldia Uzma Karachi, Bakra Mandi near Gul Muhammad Goth. Noorani Hotel, and the third market will be set up in Orangi Sector 4.
Maximum five markets will be set up in central district, markets at Sunday Bazaar Ground Sector 11D North Karachi and Liaquatabad No. 8 near Football Ground will be under KMC, the third market will be established at Muhammadi Ground Liaquatabad. which will be under TMC.
Similarly, markets located at IT Ground Shadman Center Sector 14B North Nazimabad, and Afghan Ground FB Area will also be under KMC.
In Malir district, Ismail Gabol Goth UC 8 and another cattle market will be set up at Gulshan Hadid Chowrangi, these markets will be under TMC Malir. Three cattle markets will be set up in Kemari district; Markets in Yusuf Goth Baldia Town, Hasrat Mohani Colony will be under TMC and Lyari Bakra Pedi market will be under MC.
Cattle markets will be set up at four locations in Korangi district, Old KTC Depot near Indus Hospital, near Azim Puri Graveyard and at Friend Ground 1300 Road Landhi Town under TMC.
The fourth cattle market will be held at Creek Road Sunday Bachat Bazar, Qayyumabad, which will be under Karachi, while the largest cattle market in Kirachi is located on the Northern Bypass.
Commissioner Karachi has allowed 22 cattle markets to be set up legally in Karachi, however, many illegal cattle markets have been set up in different areas of the city.
